This great looking tooled leather belt buckle is vintage, probably from the1970s. The piece is in excellent condition. Measures 3-1/4″ by 1-3/4″ with a slight curve. Under the leather is metal. See pics. It will easily accomidate a 1.25″ belt up to 1-1/2″. Better for the 1.25″ as the 1.5 will be a tighter fit. The design is the Native American Zuni tribe’s sun face depiction.
Zuni multi-stone sterling silver thunderbird buckle. The artist’s hallmark (B & C SHACK) is Bobby & Corraine Shack. « Zuni » and « sterling » are also stamped on the back of this piece. The buckle features different stones like turquoise, coral, white mother of pearl, jet, and a miscellaneous brown stone.
