Buckle shows only minor chips, scratches, and pitting to the finish. Buckle weighs just over 8 ounces. Top of the belt buckle reads, « John Studebaker Blacksmith, » while the bottom reads, « First Studebaker Shop. » John Mohler Studebaker was a blacksmith that focused on horse-drawn wagons and carriages, and later transitioned the company into automobile manufacturing. The belt buckle has a theme of building/monuments as well as vehicles/transportation for Studebaker’s connection to transportation.
