I picked up this distinctive belt buckle while traveling in the southern state of Chiapas in Mexico around 2007, which is about 3-1/4 by 2-1/2 inches in size, and which features two red scorpions facing each-other on a yellow background encased in resin and lined with what appears to be fossil or petrified wood pieces and a distinctive rope design with alternating wood and silver braids. The whole buckle is mounted on silver backing and has the word ALPACA stamped on the back to identify the source. I wore it one time and someone called me « Scorpio » which isn’t even my sign so I never wore it again. It’s a silly reason to not have worn it, however maybe it suits you better.
